Educational Qualification: M.Sc
Applications are invited on prescribed format (On-line) for the temporary post of "Junior Research Fellow” for the Project entitled “A comprehensive catalog and multiwavelength analysis of UVIT sources: statistical properties and science applications: UV bright stars, Galactic globular clusters and galaxies.” Selected candidate may enroll in Ph.D. Programme in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, National Institute of Technology Rourkela based on Institute norms and regulations
1. Name of the Temporary Post: Junior Research Fellow
2. Name of the Research Project: A comprehensive catalog and multiwavelength analysis of UVIT sources: statistical properties and science applications: UV bright stars, Galactic globular clusters and galaxies
3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency Department of space, ISRO
4.. Tenure of the Project: 3years
5. Tenure of the Assignment: Initial for a period of one year (Extendable to three years upon satisfactory performance)
6. Job Description: To work on UVIT data and Simulations. Selected candidate may be allowed to enrol in the PhD program as per institute rules. Scope to enroll as a Ph. D. Scholar in Department of Physics & Astronomy (has to satisfy Institute / Department Eligibility Criteria)
7. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship Rs. 31,000/- per month (for the 1st and 2nd year) Rs. 35,000/- per month (from 3rd year onwards)
8. Essential Qualifications and experience: M.Sc in Physics with at least 65% marks or 7/10 CGPA with a valid a GATE/CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship)/JEST/JAM.
9. Desirable Qualifications / Exp: Valid NET / GATE Score

2. Candidates will build a Single PDF file; it is to be sent to Principal Investigator ([email protected]) on or before 08/03/2022, 2359 HRS. The candidates are also required to produce relevant documents mentioned in the application form [such as original of all mark sheets and certificates, research papers (if any), experience certificate (if any) etc.] at the time of interview / joining. Selection / Joining will be canceled in case of any suppression of information / document provided earlier.
