1. Post Name: Chief Of Staff – India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), MEITY – DELHI

2. Position available: 1

3. Key Responsibilities:

a. Promote, facilitate, and formulate long-term, sustainable strategies for developing sustainable semiconductor & display manufacturing facilities and semiconductor design eco-system in the country in consultation with the Government ministries/ departments/ agencies, industry, and academia.

b. Facilitate investments in semiconductor design and manufacturing by enabling collaboration/partnerships with the leaders in the global semiconductor industry. Operate with situational sensitivity to enable faster and more effective decision-making.

c. Simplify complex tasks and effectively manage teams by delegating work. Operationalize the life cycle of an idea from conception to execution. 

d. Display exemplary project management skills including but not limited to mapping out timelines for a project, assessing risks and opportunities and trouble-shooting problems and challenges. Shape the direction of policy decisions and build a sound administrative system that guides day to day efficient functioning of the Mission. 

e. Connecting and communicating periodically and succinctly with different departments to prevent silos and enable free flow of information. Anticipate challenges and diplomatically dispose of issues.

4. Minimum Requirements:

a. Masters’ degree in Engineering/ Management/ Policy with passion to deliver results. 5-8 years’ experience in public policy/strategy and consulting.

b. Must be able to maneuver multifarious responsibilities with ease and efficiency. Deep understanding of the global semiconductor industry, including but not limited to: o Semiconductor products 

i Semiconductor manufacturing
ii Semiconductor research
iii Global supply chain

c. Strong networking skills with an ability to identify, engage and build sustainable relationships. A strong network in the domestic and global semiconductor industry will be an added advantage. Must possess outstanding organizational abilities such as planning and strategy-building skills.

d. Prior experience of working on the policies/strategies of national importance. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with fast-paced decision making while advising leadership teams.

e. Strong time-management skills with the proclivity to dedicatedly follow guidelines and abide by strict timelines. Should be well versed with Microsoft Office Suite
