Applications are invited from Indian citizens for a temporary of post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST-SERB (CRG) sponsored project in the Department of Mechanical Engineering NIT Silchar.
1 Position: Junior Research Fellow
2. Title of the project:
Design and development of laser micro-welding for difficult to weld dissimilar shape memory alloy/nickel-free high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel and mitigating formation of intermetallics by employing Ta/Cu interlayer for implantable medical devices
3. Project sanction number: CRG/2021/007643 Dated: 03 March 2022
4. No. of posts: 01 (One)
5. Duration: 03 years
6. Essential Qualification: (i) ME/M. Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering and related branches of Mechanical Engineering from recognized University. In addition, GATE qualification is mandatory
7. Desirable Qualification: Master Degree in Design/Manufacturing/Production/Tribology/Material Science. Throughout First Class in academic career and Knowledge in welding or shape memory alloys is preferred
8. Salary/Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- per month Note: H.R.A will not be provided under the project cost JRF will not be entitled to DA

Selection Procedure
1. The interview will be conducted online through online mode that will be notified in due course of time
2. The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview on the basis of screening
