Educational Qualification: Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.Sc./M.Pharma/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCT) Journal
Experience: Experience in Cellular or Molecular Immunology/ lymphocyte biology/ Flow cytometry/Tissue culture techniques/ handling infectious agents

Virus Research Center (VRC) was established in Pune in 1952 under the joint auspices of ICMR and Rockefeller Foundation, as part of the global programme of investigations on the arthropod-borne group of viruses. It was renamed as National Institute of Virology (NIV) in 1978. NIV is also the National Centre for Hepatitis and Influenza. In 1995 it has been redesignated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Arbovirus and Haemorrhagic Fever Reference and Research and Rapid Diagnosis of Viral Diseases.
