Educational Qualification:
Project Technician-III (Lab Technician): 12th Pass in Science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or PMW or radiology/ radiography or related subject) or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field / laboratory experience* or animal house keeping in Government recognized organization.
Project Technician-II (Lab Assistant): High School* or equivalent with five years experience in related field from a Government institution or recognized institute or certificate of one year training in the relevant area or ITI or National Trade certificate of National Council for Vocational Training and successful completion of ATS in relevant trade from a Government recognized board.

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/walkin interview. Once a candidate is selected they will be placed as Project Technician III, Project Technician II in NIV.

Virus Research Center (VRC) was established in Pune in 1952 under the joint auspices of ICMR and Rockefeller Foundation, as part of the global programme of investigations on the arthropod-borne group of viruses. It was renamed as National Institute of Virology (NIV) in 1978. NIV is also the National Centre for Hepatitis and Influenza. In 1995 it has been redesignated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Arbovirus and Haemorrhagic Fever Reference and Research and Rapid Diagnosis of Viral Diseases.
