Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Investigation Expert (Consultant)

  • Essential Qualification: Graduation.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in handling criminal investigation cases, intelligence work, or counter-terrorism.
  • Eligible Retired Officers: Retired Inspectors, Dy. SP, Addl SP, and SP (or equivalent level) from Central Police Organizations (CBI, NIA, NCB, IB, Cabinet Secretariat, NTRO, Customs, Income Tax, DRI, etc.) and State Police.
  • Age Limit: Below 65 years.

Nature of Duties

  • Consultancy and support on improving investigative skills for quality investigation.
  • Advice on legal appreciation of evidence, new case laws, and court judgments.
  • Consultancy on intelligence collection techniques and financial transaction investigations (money laundering).
  • Improving skills on CDR, IPDR analysis, and technical tools.
  • Management of criminal cases and drafting of legal documents.

Important Instructions

  • Duration: 01 year (extendable up to 5 years or age 65).
  • Working Hours: 09:30 AM to 06:00 PM (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend duties).
  • Leave: 1.5 days per completed calendar month.
  • Other Terms: No other allowances applicable except TA/DA on official tours. Must maintain confidentiality and abide by Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules.
