Online Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens possessing prescribed qualifications described in para to below, for engagement as Jr. Technical Associate (Works/Electrical TRD/Signal) purely on Contract basis. 1. Position: Junior Technical Associate (Works/Electrical TRD/Signal) 2. No of Posts: 20 3. Essential Prescribed Qualification: a. Junior Technical Associate(Works): Three years Diploma in:- Civil Engineering OR B.Sc in Civil Engineering of three years duration. OR a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute OR Four years Bachelor’s degree in:- Civil Engineering. OR a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. b. Junior Technical Associate(Elect/ TRD): Three years Diploma in:- Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering OR a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from are cognized University/Institute OR Four years Bachelor's Degree in:- Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering OR a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. c. Junior Technical associate (Signal): i. Three years Diploma in:- Electrical / Electronics/ Information Technology/Communication Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering OR a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Electrical /Electronics/Information Technology/Communication Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering from a recognized University/Institute OR ii. Four years Bachelor's Degree in:- Electrical/Electronics/ Information Technology/Communication Engineering OR a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Electrical/Electronics/Information Technology/ Communication Engineering from a recognized University/Institute 4. Selection Procedure
(A) GATE Percentile /Qualification 55 marks
(B) Experience 30 marks
(C) Personality/Intelligence/Interview 15 marks
1. Total: 100 Marks
2. Personality Test: Candidates 03 times in number shall be called for appearing in the Personality Test.
3. The candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in the Personality Test on the basis of marks obtained for GATE Percentile / Qualification. If, GATE qualified candidates are not available in adequate number in a particular category, other candidates possessing the Minimum Educational Qualification specified in para 3 above shall be considered for appearing in the Personality Test.
4. GATE qualified candidates shall be placed en-block above the Non-GATE qualified candidates, irrespective of marks obtained against GATE Percentile / qualification criterion.
5. For such candidates, marks on Educational qualification shall be computed by multiplying the overall percentage of Marks obtained for all the years/Semesters by 0.50.

In 1875, a 45 mile rail line from Dalsingsarai to Darbhanga reached out to famine affected areas and became the cornerstone in the history of the North Eastern Railway.
North Eastern Railway came into existence on 14thApril 1952, when two complete Railway Systems viz. Oudh Tirhoot Railway & Assam Railway and Fatehgarh District of BB & CI Railway were merged into one system and was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.It stretched from Achnera near Agra in the West to Ledo near the border of West Bengal in the East.
On 15thJanuary 1958, it was divided into two Zones (i) the North East Frontier Railway and (ii) the North Eastern Railway with headquarter at Gorakhpur, comprising of five Divisions viz. Izatnagar, Lucknow, Varanasi, Samastipur and Sonepur.
