Educational Qualification:
Pay Level 4 (GP 2,400): 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University and for the skill test prescribed dictation speed of 80 W.P.M. duration time 10 minutes and transcription time is 50 minutes (English) and 65 minutes (Hindi) for the post of Jr. Stenographer.
Pay Level 2/3 (GP 1,900/2000): 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University OR A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board and having ITI certificate may also eligible to be posted as Tech-III OR A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board may also eligible to be posted as Tech-III.
Pay Level 1 (GP 1,800): Matriculation (10th pass) or ITI or equivalent.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2024 i.e must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1999 and not later than 01.01.2006. No age relaxation (upper age limit or lower age limit) shall be permissible.
Application Fee:
For All Candidates except those mentioned in sub- Para (ii) below - Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) with a provision for refunding of Rs.400/- (Rupees Four Hundred) to those candidates who actually appear in the trial.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/Minorities* & Economically Backward Classes - Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) with a provision for refunding the same to those candidates who actually appear in the trial.
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/walkin interview. Once a candidate is selected they will be placed as Sports Quota in North Western Railway.

North Western Railway came being on 1st October, 2002. It was carved out of 2 divisions each from Northern and Western Railways. The formation of this zone along with five other new zones was first approved by Railway Board on 16th September, 1996 and foundation stone for this zone was laid on 17th October 1996 by the then Prime Minister Shri H.D. Deve Gowda at K.P. Singh Stadium, Jaipur. The impetus for formation of New Zone came with the Government of India notification no. 97/E&R/700/1/Notification dated 14.06.2002 wherein it was decided that North Western Railway with its jurisdiction over existing Jaipur and Ajmer divisions of Western Railway and Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of Northern Railway was to come into effect from 1.10.2002.
