Applications are invited for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB sponsored Project entitled “Functional inter-connection between WISH and cell-wall biosynthesis / remodelling pathway in rice blast fungus”; [File No. CRG/20211001157] in the Department of Life Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata, Main Campus under the supervision of Dr. Nazmiara Sabnam (Co-PI). 1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow 2. No of Post: 01 3. Project duration: Initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to the duration of the project (about 3 years) solely based on performance 4. Essential Qualifications: Candidate having M.Sc. degree (with at least 60% marks) in Plant Biotechnology/Plant Science/Botany/Life Sciences or relevant area with NET (JRF/LS). 5. Desirable: Candidates with hands on experience in working on fungal pathogens in the field of Molecular Plant-Pathogen Interactions will be preferred 6. Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- pm + 24% HRA (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Rs. 35,000/- pm + 24% HRA (3rd Year) as eligible.

Selection Procedure
1. Google Meet based Online interview will be conducted on March 08, 2022 from 12 pm onwards.
2. Candidates meeting minimum eligibility criteria are not necessary to be called for interview. Shortlisting criteria may be higher than the minimum eligibility. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

2. Only one softcopy of merged pdf files will be acceptable for the application, inclusive of CV, selfattested copies of mark sheets, testimonials as well as two recommendation letters. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
3. CV should include address, contact number, date of birth, and details of qualifications i.e., examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks etc. from Secondary onwards and including any research experience. Complete details of NET such as year of passing/validity, discipline, marks, All India Rank and number of candidates appeared should be mentioned in the CV.
