The Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), a premier autonomous research institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has announced a recruitment drive for dynamic and highly motivated candidates for the positions of Research Associates (RAs). This is an excellent opportunity for Ph.D. holders in Physical/Biophysical sciences to contribute to cutting-edge research across various specialized groups within the Institute.
A total of 12 Research Associate positions are available across different scientific disciplines, including Biophysical Sciences, Atomic, Nuclear and High Energy Physics, Theoretical Physics, and Condensed Matter, Surface Physics and Material Science. The selected Research Associates will be offered a monthly associateship based on their qualifications and experience, as determined by the interview/selection committee:
In addition to the associateship, other admissible benefits will be applicable. The initial tenure will be one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years based on academic performance review.

The Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) is an institute of basic research and training in physical and biophysical sciences located in Bidhannagar, Kolkata. The Institute is named after Meghnad Saha, the famous Indian Physicist. SINP is an autonomous research institute under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy. The institute is governed by a governing council which is headed by the chairman of the atomic energy commission of India. The research activities in this institute are broadly divided into two streams: Physics and Biophysics.
