Vacancy Details

Eligibility for Technical Officer (Physics Department)

• Essential: M.Sc. in Physics / Materials Science (with first class or equivalent grade in all preceding degrees) followed by minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience OR M.Tech. (after M.Sc. in Physics / Materials Science or related disciplines) with minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience. The experience must include developing, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of scientific instruments and experimental setups.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years depending on qualification.
• Desirable: Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair physics (or similar) laboratory experiments, preferably in a university or educational environment. Hands-on expertise in analog and digital electronics/microcontrollers/sensors/data acquisition systems and basic 3D printing. Experience in guiding or mentoring UG/PG students in exploratory/innovative projects based on electronics, instrumentation, and/or materials science will be given strong preference.
