Uttarakhand Biotechnology Council (UBC) is situated at Haldi, Pantnagar-263145 district Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. The State Biotechnology Programme (SBP) was established in February, 2003 in Haldi, Pantnagar just behind the present Uttarakhand Seeds and Tarai Development Corporation (UKTDC) building. In year 2014, SBP renamed as Uttarakhand Biotechnology Council (UBC) under the department of science and technology, Govt. of Uttarakhand. Now, UBC is working under department of agriculture, Govt. of Uttarakhand vide government order no. 1072 / XXXI (1) / 2019-Misc-21 / 2014 dated 07.08.2019. Right from the date of starting, the UBC is fulfilling all the research, development and extension works according to the state requirements.
