Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Graduate Apprentice

• Essential: A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Mechanical) granted by a Statutory University or an Institution empowered to grant degrees by an Act of Parliament. Candidates passed during 2021-2025.
• Grade Conversion: If the university does not award classes, CGPA/OGPA shall be multiplied by 10 to get the percentage of marks.

Eligibility for Technician (Diploma) Apprentice

• Essential: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Electrical) granted by a State Council/Board of Technical Education, a University, or an Institution recognized by the State/Central Government. Candidates passed during 2021-2025.
• Equivalency: Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate from a competent authority.

Common Requirements

• Age: Above 18 years as on 22/12/2025.
• Experience: No previous apprenticeship training under the Act is allowed.
• Domicile: Only candidates who are domicile of Karnataka are eligible for selection.

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as follows:

• Graduate Apprentices: ₹ 15,000 + Meals allowance
• Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: ₹ 13,200 + Meals allowance

Note: Boarding and lodging will not be provided, and no travel expenses are admissible.

• Start Date of Online Application: 22.12.2025
• Last Date of Online Application: 21.01.2026

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the following steps:

1. Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must bring original certificates for verification (Age, Qualification, Marks, Caste, etc.).
2. Merit List: Candidates will be provisionally considered for selection against the notified seats in the order of merit/reservation.
3. Medical Fitness: Selection is subject to the candidate being medically fit.

How to Apply

Interested candidates must follow these steps on the NATS Portal (nats.education.gov.in):

For new users:

1. Visit https://nats.education.gov.in and click on "Student Register".
2. Complete the application form to generate a unique Enrolment Number.
3. Login and search for "UDUPI COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED" under "Apply against advertised vacancies".
4. Click Apply to submit.

For existing users (Old MHRD NATS portal):

1. Activate your account on the new portal using the "Forgot Password" option.
2. Login and search for "UDUPI COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED".
3. Click Apply.
