THDC India Limited, A Mini Ratna Schedule “A” Company, invites application from eligible candidates who are having domicile of Uttarakhand for undergoing one year Apprenticeship Training under Apprentice Act. 1961, as amended from time to time in the trades mentioned below at our VPEHP, Pipalkoti,Chamoli location.

3. Eligibility/ Qualification: 10th Pass and ITI passed (regular Candidate) in the year 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021 Age Relaxation for SC/ST 05 Year, for OBC 03 Years (Non Creamy layer) & 10 Year for 40% or more than 40% PWD candidate (VH/HH/OH) in their category.
4. Duration of training: One Year
5. Stipend: As per provisions of Apprentice Act. 1961.

Selection Procedure
There will be no interview, the eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit drawn on the basis of marks obtained in respective trades i.e. ITI examination. (In case the marks obtained by the candidates are same, then candidate of higher age will be given preference).

A) It is mandatory for candidates to enroll themselves in the new apprenticeship portal. (www.apprenticeshipindia.org) and mention the number in the application. Without registration number no candidates will be engaged as apprenticeship trainee.
B) Please see www.apprenticeshipindia.org ,after enrollment in the website. It is suggested to kindly take the printout of the registration number as received in your email, as it will be required while applying in THDCIL for apprenticeship training.

THDC India Limited (THDCIL) is a premier power sector Public Sector Enterprise (PSE) and a consistently profit-making company. It was incorporated as a Public Limited Company in July 1988 under the Companies Act, 1956, with the primary mandate of developing, operating, and maintaining the 2400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex. Recognizing its operational excellence and strategic importance, the Government of India conferred "Mini Ratna - Category I" status on THDCIL in October 2009, followed by an upgrade to a Schedule 'A' PSU in July 2010.
Originally, the equity of the Company was held in the ratio of 75:25 between the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP). Pursuant to a strategic disinvestment, a Share Purchase Agreement was signed on 25th March 2020 between NTPC Limited and the President of India for the acquisition of the Government of India's stake. As a result, THDCIL became a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, with the equity now held by NTPC Limited and GoUP in the ratio of 74.496% and 25.504%, respectively.
