Applications are invited till 14.03.2022 from the eligible and interested candidates for the following project posts which are to be filled purely on contractual and temporary basis to work in the DHR funded project for establishment of “Model Rural Health Research Unit” at Puducherry.

1. Name of the post: Scientist C (Medical)

3.Essential Qualification: Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) after MBBS with one year experience OR Post graduate Diploma in Medical Subjects after MBBS with two years’ experience OR MBBS degree with 4 years’ experience in medical subjects after MBBS degree
4. Nature of Duties: Overall execution of the research activities of project and any work as assigned by the superiors
5. Consolidated Salary: Rs.67,000/- + HRA
6. Contract period: One year (initially) and likely to be extended as per requirement
7. Place of posting: Puducherry

2. Number of Post: 01 (One) – Reserved for OBC
3. Essential Qualification: 12th pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology OR One year DMLT plus one-year experience in recognized organization OR two years’ field/laboratory experience B.Sc. (MLT/Life Sciences) shall be treated as 3 years’ experience
4. Nature of Duties: Collection of samples & laboratory investigations and any work as assigned by the superiors
5. Consolidated Salary: Rs.20,000/- + HRA
6. Contract period: One year (initially) and likely to be extended as per requirement
7. Place of posting: Puducherry

About Vector Control Research Centre
ICMR- Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC), established at Pondicherry (now Puducherry) in July 1975, is one of the permanent institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Government of India. ICMR- VCRC has been engaged in basic and applied research with the primary objective of finding newer methods and developing strategies for vector control for the control of vector-borne diseases. The World Health Organization (WHO) designated the ICMR- VCRC as a collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Lymphatic filariasis and Integrated Vector Management on 15th May 1985. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in 2000 recognized the Centre as one of the Institutes of Excellence in India for Courses in Health Training.
