Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Director of Sports and Physical Education
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Physical Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant experience as University Assistant/Deputy DPES, College DPES, or Assistant/Associate Professor in Physical Education/Sports Science. Must have evidence of organizing competitions/coaching camps (min. two weeks) and producing good performance of teams/athletes for state/national/inter-university competitions.
- Physical Fitness Test: Must clear the prescribed Run/Walk Test as per UGC norms (Men: 12 min, Women: 8 min). Standards vary by age group (e.g., Men 30yrs: 1800m, 50yrs: 800m).
