Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen and resident of Bihar.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Library Science from a recognized university with at least 45% marks (or equivalent grade). A 5% marks relaxation is available for reserved categories as per the notice.
- Minimum Age: 21 years as on 01 August 2026.
- Age Limit: Category-wise upper age limits: Unreserved Male 37 years, Unreserved Female 40 years, BC/EBC 40 years, SC/ST 42 years. Additional relaxation for PwD (10 years) and ex-servicemen.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
Selection is based solely on a Computer Based Test (CBT). There is no interview. The exam pattern is:
- Library Science: 100 marks
- General Knowledge: 50 marks
- Total: 150 marks, 150 minutes duration, no negative marking.
Qualifying marks: General 50%, BC 45.5%, EBC 42.5%, SC/ST/Divyang/Women 40%. Results will be normalized if multiple sessions are held.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the exam.
