Assam University, Silchar, has announced a walk-in-interview for the engagement of Guest Faculty on a purely temporary basis. Candidates interested in academic positions in various science and education departments are invited to attend the interview at the Department of Education.

Eligibility for Guest Faculty

• Essential Qualification (Option A): A Master's degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant/allied subject. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET. Exemptions apply to candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016).
• Essential Qualification (Option B): A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (QS, THE, or ARWU).
• Selection Basis: Academic scores are used only for short-listing; final selection is based solely on interview performance.
• Other Instructions: Candidates must bring a duly filled prescribed application form and self-attested copies of all supporting documents. No TA/DA will be provided.
