About Bihar Police
Bihar Police is the primary law enforcement agency of the state of Bihar, India. It is headed by the Director General of Police (DGP) and operates under the jurisdiction of the Department of Home, Government of Bihar.
The Bihar Police is responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing and detecting crimes, and ensuring the safety and security of the citizens of Bihar. It comprises several units, including the Bihar Military Police, Special Branch, Anti-Terrorist Squad, Economic Offences Wing, and the Bihar Police Training Centre.
The Bihar Police also works in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies at the national and state levels, such as the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Border Security Force (BSF), and the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
