Selection Process
The selection consists of three stages:

- Main Exam: Paper I (Objective, 200 marks, 3 hours, negative marking 0.25) covering General Studies, Maths, Reasoning, English, Hindi, Bihar GK. Paper II (Descriptive, 50 marks, 1 hour) covering Hindi & English essay, précis, translation. Minimum 30% in each paper. 3x candidates shortlisted for PET.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Only qualifying – verification of physical standards. No marks.

Salary & Benefits
