Essential (as on 1 August 2025): A Bachelor's degree with at least one subject from Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Zoology from a recognized university, OR a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
Physical Standards:
- Height (Male): UR/BC/EBC/SC - 163 cm; ST - 152.5 cm.
- Height (Female): UR/BC/EBC/SC - 150 cm; ST - 145 cm.
- Chest (Male only): Minimum 79 cm (without expansion) and 84 cm (with expansion), with a mandatory 5 cm expansion.
- Third Gender candidates follow BC category norms. No chest measurement for females.
Age Limit (as on 1 August 2025):
- UR (Male): 21 to 37 years.
- UR (Female): 21 to 40 years.
- BC/EBC (Male, Female & Third Gender): 21 to 40 years.
- SC/ST (Male & Female): 21 to 42 years.
Age relaxation for government employees and ex-servicemen as per rules.
Salary:
Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400) as per the 7th Pay Commission.
