Braithwaite & Co. Ltd., A Govt. of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways invites applications from Indian Nationals for filling up the following posts.
1. Name of the Post: Shop-Floor Assistant (Production) Staff Grade: A
2. No. of posts: 02
3. Minimum Qualification: Matriculation
4. Post Qualification experience (years) / Nature of Experience as on 31.01.2022: PQ Experience – 05 years Experience in PSU / Govt. Sector preferred. Experience in Supervisory functions at Shop Floor and Co-ordinate shop floor production, maintaining records and allied functions in assisting Executives. Working knowledge of Computers in MS Office is preferred.
5. Scales of Pay: Staff Grade A: Rs.21500-3%/-; Minimum Salary (Basic+DA): Rs.27348/- approx.
1. Name of the Post: Supervisor (Commercial) – NUS-S4 Grade
2. No. of posts: 02
3. Minimum Qualification: Graduate
4. Post Qualification experience (years) / Nature of Experience as on 31.01.2022: PQ Experience - 05 years Experience in PSU / Govt. Sector preferred. Should have experience in (1) Estimation, Billing, Collection and related Commercial functions. Co-ordinate with Production & Inspection Deptt for monthly production results & billing thereof. (2) Preparation of DM/IC and coordination with RDSO. Preparation of Bills, submission to Railway Authorities and collection of Payments. Experience in Engineering /Manufacturing Units preferably under Railway Rolling Stock Organizations desired. (3)Working knowledge of Computers in MS Office is a must. ERP exposure preferred.
5. Scales of Pay: NUS-S4 Grade: Rs.29000 - 116000/-; Minimum Salary (Basic+DA: Rs.36888/- approx.
1. Name of the Post: Supervisor (Purchase) – NUS-S4 Grade
2. No. of posts: 01
3. Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Engineering
4. Post Qualification experience (years) / Nature of Experience as on 31.01.2022: PQ Experience - 05 years Experience in PSU / Govt. Sector preferred. Experience in Purchase / Materials Management / Contracts awarding functions preferably in Engineering / Manufacturing Units. Working knowledge of Computers in MS Office is a must. ERP exposure preferred.
5. Scales of Pay: NUS-S4 Grade: Rs.29000 - 116000/-; Minimum Salary (Basic+DA: Rs.36888/- approx.

Braithwaite & Co. Limited is a public sector undertaking under the government of India with its office in Kolkata.
The company was established as Braithwaite in 1913 as the Indian Subsidiary of Braithwaite & Co. Engineers Limited (U.K.), for undertaking fabrication of Structural Steel Works. In 1930 it was incorporated as Braithwaite & Co (India) Ltd at Calcutta. In 1960 Braithwaite's Angus Works located at Bhadreswar was set up for the manufacture of cranes, foundry products, machinery components etc. The Project Division at Calcutta was established in 1978 to execute turnkey projects for material handling plants. In 1987 Victoria Works was taken over, which is equipped with all facilities for the manufacture of pressure vessels, railway wagons and heavy structurals for bridges and other engineering applications. In 1976 company was taken over by the government of India, as a fully owned public sector company.
From 2010, the management of Braithwaite & Co. Limited has been transferred from Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises to Ministry of Railways.
Today Braithwaite is an engineering conglomerate which manufactures, railway wagons & bogies, heavy duty cranes, structurals, jute mill machinery, forging & casting jobs.
