Center for Environment Education (CEE), was established in the year 1984 by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. To promote environmental awareness nationwide. The CEE is affiliated to the Nehru Foundation for Development and inherits the rich multidisciplinary resources base and varied experience of Foundation.
The vision & mission of Center is to be an institution of excellence and play a significant role in Local, National and Global efforts towards sustainable development through innovations and environmental education for the sustainable development of the environment.
Prime objective of the center is to enhance sustainable development in formal, non-formal and informal education through school, higher education institutions for awarding youth and the general community. CEE also promote individual and collective positive handprint action that are environmentally sound, economically viable and socially beneficial.
