VACANCY NOTICE NO. 76/2022
1. Post Name: General Manager(Cord/Civil)- 02 Post
2. Location: Mumbai/South, Prayagraj/West (01 each)
3. Duration: 3 years extendable to 5 years (subject to exemption by DPE from the rule of immediate absorption)
4. Service: IRSE/Officers of Engg. Deptt. of Indian railways, officers of central Govt./ CPSUs etc.(as mentioned above)
5. Term of Appointment: Deputation
6. Scale of Pay: Parent pay plus deputation allowance (And all other Perks and Allowances applicable as per DFCCIL policy)
7. Specific Requirements: Central/State Govt. officers working in analogous grade (Level-14) in the relevant discipline or in SG (tevel-13) with 17 years service in Group A in the relevant discipline. OR PSU employees working in analogous grade in the relevant |discipline OR in Rs. 1,00,000-2,60,000 (IDA) (E7) with four years' service in that grade.
8. Job Description: Job Requirement- The officer has to deal with all issues pertaining to planning and execution of civil works including preparation of GAD, Estimates, Tendering, execution of formation, Bridges, Tracks Works etc., liasioning with railways and state govt. Officials etc.

6. The Indian Railways' quadrilateral linking the four metropolitan cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Howrah, commonly known as the Golden Quadrilateral ; and its two diagonals (Delhi-Chennai and Mumbai-Howrah), adding up to a total route length of 10,122 km comprising of 16% of the route carried more than 52% of the passenger traffic and 58% of revenue earning freight traffic of IR. The existing trunk routes of Howrah-Delhi on the Eastern Corridor and Mumbai-Delhi on the Western Corridor were highly saturated, line capacity utilization varying between 115% to 150%. Railways lost the share in freight traffic from 83% in 1950-51 to 35% in 2011-12
