Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Technician (Skilled):
  • Matriculation (10th) from a recognised board.
  • ITI pass certificate in the specified trade (or equivalent Defence Services Tradesman Course).
  • One year experience in the specified trade.
  • Must qualify the departmental Trade Skill Test.
• Technician (Semi Skilled):
  • ITI pass certificate in the specified trade (or equivalent Defence Services Tradesman Course).
  • Must qualify the departmental Trade Skill Test.
• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years. Maximum varies by category (see table).
• Nationality: Indian nationals only.
• Medical Fitness: Candidates must be free from night blindness or colour blindness.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Written Test (objective type, 100 marks, no negative marking).
• Trade Test (practical) for shortlisted candidates.
• Document verification, medical examination, and character & antecedents verification.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test or trade test.

What is the last date to submit the application?

The last date for receipt of applications is 06 December 2026 (21 days from the date of publication in Employment News). For candidates residing in specified remote areas, the last date is 13 December 2026 (28 days from publication).

Where is the walk-in interview/venue for submission?

Applications must be sent offline to the Controller, Controllerate of Quality Assurance (General Stores), DGQA Stores Complex, Ashok Path, Meerpur Cantt, Kanpur - 208004, Uttar Pradesh. There is no walk‑in interview.

Is there any application fee?

No application fee is required. Candidates must, however, enclose a self‑addressed envelope (30 cm × 12 cm) affixed with a postal stamp of Rs. 60/- for the admit card.

What is the nature of employment?

The posts are permanent Group 'C' Non‑Ministerial Industrial posts under the Directorate General of Quality Assurance, subject to a two‑year probation period.

What is the salary structure?

Technician (Skilled): Pay Matrix Level‑2 (Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200). Technician (Semi Skilled): Pay Matrix Level‑1 (Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900), as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
