Educational Qualification & Experience:For Skilled: Matriculation + ITI in specified trade + 1 year experience. For Semi Skilled: ITI pass in any trade.
Skills:Technical trade skills, quality assurance, manufacturing processes, and relevant trade-specific abilities.
Age Limit:18 to 27 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental candidates as per rules.
Salary (per month):
- Technician (Semi Skilled): Pay Matrix Level-1 (₹18,000 – 56,900)
- Technician (Skilled): Pay Matrix Level-2 (₹19,900 – 63,200)
Selection Procedure:
- Written Test (Objective type, Multiple Choice Questions; 100 marks, 90 minutes duration). Parts: General Intelligence and Reasoning (25), General Awareness (25), English Language and Comprehension (25), Numerical Aptitude (25). No negative marking.
- Trade Test (100 marks; minimum 40 marks required to qualify) for candidates shortlisted in the written test.
Application Fee: No application fee is mentioned for any category.

Candidates must apply offline by following the steps below.
- Download Notification: Download the official notification and take a printout of the application format (Appendix 'A') and the relevant admit card format (Appendix 'B' for Semi Skilled, Appendix 'C' for Skilled).
- Fill Application: Fill the application in Block Letters on A4 size paper, in English.
- Affix Photograph: Affix a recent self-attested passport-size photograph on the application form and on both admit card copies.
- Attach Documents: Attach self-attested copies of educational/technical qualification and experience certificates, date of birth certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and Aadhaar Card.
- Enclose Envelope: Enclose one self-addressed envelope (30 cm x 12 cm) affixed with a postal stamp of ₹55/-.
- Super-scribe Envelope: Super-scribe the envelope clearly as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [Technician (Semi Skilled)/Technician (Skilled)] and CATEGORY [SC/ST/OBC/UR]”.
- Send Application: Send the complete application only by Registered or Speed Post to: Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Systems), DGQA Technical Complex, Manovikas Nagar P.O., Secunderabad-500009.

The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) is under Deptt. Of Defence Production , Ministry of Defence. This organisation is more than hundred years old and provides Quality Assurance (QA) cover for the entire range of Arms, Ammunitions, Equipment and Stores supplied to Armed Forces.
