Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Project Associate

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Forestry) or M.Sc. Environmental Science
• Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of plant taxonomy, species identification, field data collection, preparation of herbarium specimen, digitalization, data entry and handling of software

Eligibility for Field Assistant

• Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from Govt. recognized University/Institution
• Desirable Qualification: Should have experience of field work, knowledge of local vegetation, basic skills in field data collection, maintaining of records and MS Office

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms

Application Fee

Mode of Payment: IPO/Bank Draft payable to State Bank of India / UCO Bank, Nauni (Solan) - 173 230 (HP) in favour of the Comptroller, Dr. Y S Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni (Solan).

Selection Process

• Evaluation of documentation submitted by candidates.
• Walk-in interview will be held on 30/01/2026 (Friday) at 11:00 AM in the office chamber of the Associate Professor & Head, Department of Silviculture & Agroforestry.
• No separate interview letter will be issued. Candidates must appear at their own expenses.
• All original testimonials must be brought at the time of interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
