Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Jodhpur has released a notification (Adv. No. FDDI/JODH/HR/Ad-Hoc/2025/01) for the engagement of Junior Faculty on an ad-hoc basis. Candidates with the required qualifications and experience can apply for these academic positions in the School of Fashion Design and School of Footwear Design & Production. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Junior Faculty (School of Fashion Design)

• Essential Qualification: Master's Degree (of min. 02 years Graduation) after duration in Fashion Design/ Apparel Design/Garment Manufacturing, Technology/Apparel Manufacturing/ Knitwear Design/Leather Design/ Textile Design with min. 55% marks from a recognized university/ Institute.
• Experience: Academic and/or Industry Experience of at least 3 years in the field of pattern making and garment construction.
• Desirable: Doctoral Degree in the area of Fashion/Fashion Technology/Craft from a recognized university/institute. Preference will be given to candidates having a master degree in fashion design/fashion technology/Garment manufacturing etc.
• Age Limit: General: 35 years, OBC: 38 years, SC/ST: 40 years, PWD: 45 years.

Eligibility for Junior Faculty (School of Footwear Design & Production)

• Essential Qualification:
  • Option 1: Bachelor's/Master's Degree (2 years after graduation) and 1 year diploma in Footwear manufacturing with specialization in Footwear Design/production with minimum 55% marks.
  • Option 2: Bachelor's/Master's Degree (2 years after graduation) in Footwear Technology with specialization in Design with minimum 55% Marks.
• Experience: Academic and/or Industry Experience of at least 3 years in the field of Design. Academic experience, if any, should be of teaching in UG degree or higher academic courses in the area of Design.
• Desirable:
  • Candidate with design experience in Industry will be given preference.
  • Preference will be given to candidate who have hands on experience on 2D or 3D design software like coral draw, Photoshop, Maya, shoe master, Crispin, solid works etc.
• Age Limit: General: 35 years, OBC: 38 years, SC/ST: 40 years, PWD: 45 years.

Salary / Remuneration

• Fixed Remuneration for Junior Faculty: Rs. 50,000/- per month.
• Payment for part of the month will be on pro-rata basis (30-day month).
• Two casual leaves per month are allowed, to be carried forward within the current engagement period of 6 months.
• No other benefits like HRA, LTC, Medical, etc. are admissible.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates shall be through an Interview. Merit, practical teaching ability, presentation, and communication skills shall be given due importance. Mere fulfillment of essential qualifications does not guarantee a call for an interview.
