Applications are invited from interested candidates for 02 Research Internship positions to work under the VRITIKA event titled “Numerical investigation on the behaviour of geosynthetics-reinforced embankment under dynamic impact force of rockfall” sanctioned by Accelerate Vigyan, SERB. i. The internship students will develop numerical modelling skills while investigating effective landslide mitigation methods. The event will be conducted through offline mode for a duration of eight weeks at IIT Jammu. 1. Position: Intern (pursuing Ph.D.) 2. No. of Positions: 01 3. Essential Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and M.E./M. Tech./ M.S.(R) or other equivalent degrees in Geotechnical/ Geoenvironmental/ Rock Mechanics/ Tunnel Engineering or other allied areas with minimum of 7.0 CGPA or 70% in Qualifying Degrees. 4. Duration: 09/05/2022- 30/06/2022 (Eight weeks) 1. Position: Intern (pursuing M.Tech/ M.E. / M.S. (R) / Equivalent degrees) 2. No. of Positions: 01 3. Essential Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with minimum 7.0 CGPA or 70% in Qualifying Degree 4. Duration: 09/05/2022- 30/06/2022 (Eight weeks) 5. Desirable Qualification: a. Good academic record and experience in the relevant areas of specializations. 6. Advt. No.: IITJMU/R&C/RP0073/A-02
b. Valid GATE score in relevant engineering stream.
c. Strong background and understanding of any Finite-Element based software.
d. Publication(s) in recognized national/international conferences and journals of repute.
