5. Project title: experiment-based Modeling and Simulation of Magnetic Polymers Responses for Soft Robotics

6. About the project: Magneto Active Polymers (MAPs) closely follow the soft robotics requirements for mutability and adaptability due to their capability to change significant shape, size, and material properties by externally applying a magnetic field. However, without the fundamental understanding of the magneto-mechanical coupling behavior of MAP, the magnetic field-controlled soft robotic design will not be feasible. The aim of the project is the fundamental understanding of MAPs responses under the magnetic and mechanical loading conditions through experiments and modeling.

7. Essential Qualifications & Experience: MTech /ME qualification through a process described through any one of the following:

a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc

8. Job Profile: Mainly an experimentalist to perform mechanical testing of soft materials. Additional skills to measure magnetic field/flux will be a bonus. Experimental physicists are also encouraged to apply. Based on performance, an extension of employment could be considered.

9. Pay Details: Consolidated salary of Rs 31000 + HRA
