3. IITB Recruiting:

IIT Bombay invites online application from retired government officers including retired officers/ staff from PSUs/ Autonomous bodies/ Semi-Government organizations, having considerable experience and expertise for engagement as Consultant to the office of Dean(IPS).

4. Essential Qualifications & Experience:

i. Retired officers/ staff possessing following experience and expertise can apply to be considered for engagement as consultant to the office of Dean(IPS): B. Tech/ B.E. or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade point average from a recognized university or AMIE.

ii. The applicant should have worked in the capacity of Superintending Engineer or at an equivalent level/ post for 10 years or above in any Government/ PSU/ Autonomous/ Semi-Government organization.

5. Desirable:

(i) The applicant should have thorough knowledge of handling all concerns of construction work including that of RCC buildings.

(ii) The applicant should be thorough with CPWD manual and conditions of contract and have the ability to independently coordinate and successfully negotiate all terms and conditions, impose contractual obligation and deliver within stipulated period

6. Job Profile:

The consultant is expected to assist Dean(IPS) in administering architectural contracts, planning, financial management, estimation, progress monitoring, reporting, budgeting, supervising new constructions inside the campus with skill sets, such as Civil, Plumbing works, Land Development, etc.

7. Pay Details: Remuneration:

A fixed monthly amount shall be admissible, arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. The amount of remuneration so fixed shall remain unchanged for the term of the contract. There will be no annual increment / percentage increase during the contract period.
