Applications are invited in the prescribed format only for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in this institute. 1. Name of the temporary assignment: Junior Research Fellow (Provision for enrolment in Doctoral Programme) 2. Number of Post: 01 3. Duration of the Post: Three Years 4. Name of the temporary research project: “Design and Development of Visible Light-Driven Multicomponent Reactions using Organophotocatalysis 5. Name of the Sponsoring Agency: : SERB, DST, Govt.of India 6. Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- pm plus HRA as per GoI rule, for the first two years followed by Rs. 35,000/- pm plus HRA as per GoI rule (subject to satisfactory performance). 7. Qualifications & Experience: M. Sc in Chemistry with valid GATE, NET. The candidate should have M.Sc in Chemistry degree with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks. Working/research experience in the field of organic synthesis will be given preference. ADVERTISEMENT NO: R&D/606/SERB/216

Selection Procedure
1. IIT Patna reserves the right to not shortlist any candidate in case the application email does not contain complete information backed up by supporting documents as listed above. All candidates who apply via email by 19 th February 2022 (deadline) and are shortlisted will be informed regarding the further details by 22 nd February 2022.
2. Date of ONLINE Interview: 28 th February 2022. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they have a reliable internet connectivity on the date of online interview.b
3. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the interview.

1. Candidates interested in this position and satisfying the qualification criteria should write an email to the project investigator Dr. Md. Lokman H. Choudhury, Department of Chemistry, IIT Patna (Email IDs: [email protected] and [email protected]).
2. The subject of the email should read as “JRF Position in SERB funded @ LHC group”. The last date for receiving this email is 19th February 2022.
3. The email MUST include the scanned/pdf copy of the duly filled application form (see attached word document) with the applicant’s signature. Form No: RDM003.
4. The email MUST include a self-attested scanned pdf copy of all supporting documents (degree certificates, mark-sheets, NET certificate/GATE scorecard, and category certificate, if applicable).
5. The application should also include a brief Academic CV not exceeding two pages.
