Note: Minimum age is 18 years as on the closing date of online application. Age relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates – 5 years; OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years. The Junior Research Assistant post is restricted to Indian citizens who are residents of Uttar Pradesh for Research Assistantships/Associateships under research projects funded by CST, Uttar Pradesh.

Important: The crucial date for determining age, educational qualifications, and experience is the closing date of online application. Candidates with CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades must convert them to percentage as per their university's prescribed formula. Only experience acquired after obtaining the minimum prescribed qualification is considered valid.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Screening: The final list of Screen-In (Eligible) and Screen-Out (Ineligible) candidates shall be published on 15.10.2026 (tentative).
2. Interview: The selection of candidates for all posts shall be made solely on the basis of performance in the Interview.

Interview Schedule

Key Instructions: Candidates arriving after 10:00 AM on the scheduled date will not be permitted to appear for the Interview. In the event of a large number of applications, the Interview may continue on the following day if required. No TA/DA shall be payable for appearing in the Interview. The decision of the Selection Committee and the Director, CSIR-IITR, Lucknow, shall be final and binding.

• Two Recent Passport-Size Photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)

Critical Note: During document verification, photographs, scanned copies, or digital copies of original documents stored on mobile phones, tablets, laptops, or any other electronic devices shall not be accepted as valid proof. Original physical documents must be produced.

Candidates must ensure they possess a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number that remains active throughout the selection process. Canvassing in any form or attempt to use political or other influence for securing selection shall be treated as a disqualification.
