Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of one (01) Project linked Junior Research Fellow on purely temporary basis to work in the research project titled "Dynamical origin of extreme events and data-based early warning detection" sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India, and undertaken at the Physics and Applied Mathematics Unit of the Institute, Kolkata.

3. Qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics/ Mathematics with the consistently good academic record; preference will be given to candidates specializing in Nonlinear dynamics with experience in Computer Programming.
4. Pay: 31000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only for 1St and 2nd years, and 35000/- (Rupees thirty five thousand) only for 3rd year plus 24% House Rent Allowances per month as per the rules of the Institute.
5. Tenure of appointment: The duration of the appointment will be for one year from the date of his/her joining the institute which may be extended later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and/or performance of the candidate.
