The Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) serves as the civic governing body of the vibrant city of Mira-Bhayandar in Thane district, Maharashtra. Originating as a municipal council in 1985 by integrating several Gram Panchayats, it was upgraded to a municipal corporation in 2002 to better manage the region’s burgeoning population, recorded at around 809,378 as per the 2011 Census. MBMC oversees essential civic services including solid waste management, water supply, roads, health, and more.
