NIT Manipur Walk-In Interview 2026: Eligibility, Salary, Date for JRF and Project Assistant
The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, has released a notification for the recruitment of Project Staff. This recruitment is for positions under the sponsored research project titled "Scalable Deployment and Clinical Validation of an AI-Enabled Telemedicine and IoT-Based Health Monitoring System for Rural Healthcare".
The institute is conducting a Walk-In-Interview to fill 2 vacancies for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant. This is a direct recruitment process based on the interview performance. NIT Manipur started its first session on 2nd August 2010 with only three branches of Engineering namely - Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering at Government Polytechnic, Takyelpat Campus. It is presently functioning in its Permanent Campus at Langol, Imphal, with two more Engineering Branches namely - Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. The institute has acquired 341.5 acres of land in lush green areas of Langol, Imphal.
The Institute is administered by the Director of the Institute under the direct supervision of Board of Governors(BOG) headed by The Chairman of the Board of Governors as the institute is registered under Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989. The policy for academic activity will be made through Senate with prior approval of the Board of Governors and implemented through Dean(Academic). The Planning and Development of the institute will be implemented through Dean (P & D) whereas the Students Affairs will be looked after by Dean(Student Welfare). Registrar is the custodian of all records of the institution and all administrative orders will be issued through Registrar, where he will also be responsible to the Director for proper implementation of the policy matter of the institute.
