CSIR - North East Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, a constituent establishment of CSIR, is a multidisciplinary institute having research areas like Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Materials Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Geological Sciences, Advanced Computation and Data Sciences etc. The institute is equipped with sophisticated state-of-art analytical and other equipment to carry out research activities in frontier areas of science & technology. Presently wide-ranging research activities are being carried out in CSIR projects as well as externally funded projects. There is a requirement of Project Staff with the following specialization:

3. Project Title: Polymers, their composites and polymeric membranes for sustainable development of petroleum industries.

6. Essential Qualification: M.Sc. with specialization in Organic/ Inorganic/ Physical/ Applied/ Polymer Chemistry Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified/experienced candidates

6. Essential Qualification: 1st class B.E/B. Tech in Chemical Engineering
7. Desirable:
a. M. Tech in Chemical Engineering or allied Engineering subjects
b. GATE Qualified
c. Exposure in wastewater treatment/Pilot plant operation candidate will be given preference
8. Remuneration: Remuneration: Rs.31,000/- per month+ HRA for NET/GATE qualifiers & Rs.25,000/- per month+ HRA for others.

Selection Procedure
1. The applicants will be subjected to the short listing by the Project Team based on the Academic performances and experiences and only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

The CSIR- North East Institute of Science and Technology, formerly(RRL) , Jorhat was established in the year 1961 as one of the multidisciplinary laboratories of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research(CSIR) under its Chemical Science Group of laboratories. Its major thrust of R&D activities has been to develop indigeneous technologies by utilising the immense natural wealth of India
North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST) was established in 1961. It is located in Jorhat, Assam. NEIST main aim was to develop indigenous technologies by utilising the immense natural resources of northeastern India like Petroleum, Natural Gas, Minerals, Tea, Aromatic and Medicinal plants.
North East Institute of Science and Technology is a full fledged multidisciplinary research institution having research areas like Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medicinal, Aromatic and Economic plants,Geoscience, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Applied Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, General Engineering,Cellulose, Pulp and Paper, Material Science, Coal, etc.
