NTPC Limited, India's largest power conglomerate, has announced the Engineering Executive Trainees (EET) 2026 recruitment. This is an excellent opportunity for engineering graduates to join a premier Government of India Enterprise. With an ambitious plan to expand its installed capacity to 149 GW by 2032, NTPC is looking for 515 bright, young engineers through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - 2025.

Recruitment Type: This is a Direct Recruitment based on GATE 2025 scores followed by Document Verification. There is no separate written examination conducted by NTPC.

Note: Vacancies for PwBD candidates are reserved as per Govt. guidelines. The total number may vary at the discretion of NTPC management.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Essential: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or AMIE# with at least 65% marks (aggregate).
Relaxation: Minimum 55% marks for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.

#AMIE holders will be considered only if enrolled up to 31.05.2013.

2. Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 27 years as on the last date of online application (25/02/2026).
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • OBC: +3 years
  • PwBD (General/EWS): +10 years
  • PwBD (OBC): +13 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): +15 years

3. Mandatory Requirement - GATE 2025

Candidates must have appeared for the GATE 2025 examination. Only GATE 2025 scores are valid for this recruitment. The specific GATE paper codes are:

• Electrical: Paper Code EE
• Mechanical: Paper Code ME
• Electronics/Instrumentation: Paper Code EC or IN
• CS/IT: Paper Code CS

4. Physical & Medical Standards

Candidates must meet specific health standards. Medical examination by the NTPC Medical Board is mandatory before joining. Detailed medical norms are available on the official website.

Selection Process

This recruitment does not have a written test. The selection is purely merit-based on GATE 2025 scores.

3. Document Verification: Verification of original documents.
