Educational Qualification: B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Phil/Ph.D
The following posts will be filled up on a purely contractual basis for the project entitled "Preparing for Viral Pandemics: Strengthening lab network through hands-on training on Laboratory Quality Management Systems" funded by DHR/ICMR, New Delhi under Dr. Mini P Singh, Professor, Department of Virology at PGIMER, Chandigarh
1. Position: Research Scientist-B (Non Medical)
2. No of Position: 01
3. Essential qualification:
a) First Class Post Graduate degree in life sciences from a recognized University with 2 years of experience in related fields (Microbiology/ Virology/ Biotechnology Bioinformatics/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics). OR
b) Second Class Post graduate with Ph.D degree in relevant subjects from a recognized University with one year of experience (Microbiology/ Virology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Molecular Biology Genetics).
c) Wherever the PG/Ph.D is not awarded with subjects mentioned above, the screening committee will decide whether the degree of the applicant will meet the requirement of the subjects mentioned in the advertisement.
4. Emoluments per month: Rs. 48,000 + HRA as per rules
1. Position: Project Technical Officer
2. No of Position: 01
3. Essential Qualification: First class Graduate degree in Science/ relevant subjects (As mentioned in document no.16/107/2008-Admn. II Dated-24.08.2016, ICMR guidelines for the recruitment of staff for short term research projects) from a recognized university with five years work experience from a recognized institution. OR Master's degree in the relevant subject (As mentioned in ICMR Guidelines dated-24.08.2016).
4. Emoluments per month: Rs. 32,000 (Consolidated)
Pay Scale: INR 32000 - 48000(Per Month)
Age Limit: Research Scientist B: Upto 35 Years, Project Technical Officer: Upto 30 Years
Selection Procedure
1. Eligibility list and the date of interview will be uploaded on PGI Website on or before 24.04.2022 (Sunday).
2. Interview will be held at PGIMER, Chandigarh. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the same. Date & time of interview will be uploaded at PGIMER, Chandigarh website. No individual intimation will be given for the interview. Candidates are advised to check the institute website regularly.
3. The interview will be held in-person ONLY. Online mode of interview will not be conducted.
