The office of the Accountant General Rajasthan started its function on 1st October 1949 at Jaipur at Jaleb chowk and hired accommodation in Khwaja ki Haweli known as Achrol House. The work started under the charge of Dr. Accountant General At Jodhpur . Shri Rang Bihari Lal was the first Accountant General. These transaction of Defence, Railway and postal department.

To Control enunciates Current operating and describes what we doing today that was mandated by the constitution of India and we promote accountability, transparency and good governance through high quality auditing and accounting and provide independent assurance to the shareholder ,the Legislature, The Executive and public ,that funds and being used efficiently and for the intended purposes.
