Applications are invited for the one post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) to work in Department of Food Engineering & Technology, SLIET, Longowal under DBT sponsored research project in collaboration with National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali. The detailed information is given below:

1. Post Name: Senior Research Fellow

2. No of Post: 01

3. Project Title: “Probiotic-millet based synbiotic oral hydrogels for the amelioration of iron deficiency anemia and associated inflammation”

4. Temporary Position: Senior Research Fellow: 01 (purely on temporary basis)

5. Fellowship: Rs. 35,000/- + permissible HRA or accommodation as per institute rules

6. Department: Department of Food Engineering and Technology, SLIET Longowal

7. Tenure of the Assignment: 3 Years (approx.)/till completion of project

8. Qualification prescribed for JRF with two years of research experience (As per DST OM SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30th January, 2019) as follows:

Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences OR Graduate (B.Tech./B.E.) /Post Graduate Degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Food Science/ Engineering/Technology/Microbial & Food Technology/ Biotechnology or equivalent professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility TestsCSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE

b. The Selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Department and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

9. Desirable: The candidate having prior experience and research work in area of millet processing, green extraction of dietary fiber, probiotics etc. will be preferred.
