Educational Qualification:
- Route 1: B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university with registration in the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council.
- Route 2: Intermediate pass + 3-year General Nursing Course + 6-month Midwifery training + 3 years experience in a Medical College/tertiary care hospital + registration in the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council.
Desirable: BLS & ACLS training certificates, and knowledge of computer applications.
Experience:
Route 2 requires 3 years of experience in a Medical College/tertiary care hospital. Experience is also a component of the selection process (up to 15 marks).
Skills:Nursing, patient care, midwifery, clinical skills, BLS/ACLS (desirable).
Salary:
RPS 2022 Pay Scale: ₹38,720 – ₹1,18,390 per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 42 Years as on 01-07-2026. Age relaxation: SC/ST/BC/EWS – 5 years; PwBD – 10 years; Ex-servicemen – 3 years + service rendered; SVIMS employees – 5 years. Maximum age with relaxations: 52 years.
Selection Procedure:
Computer Based Test (CBT) - 75 marks.
Experience - 15 marks.
Interview - 10 marks.

Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) is a Medical Institute under State Legislature Act and a specialty hospital in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
SVIMS was conceived on the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi and was created by an act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature. The foundation stone was laid on 18 April 1986 by N. T. Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The hospital started functioning from 2 February 1993 and later became a Medical Institute under State Legislature Act in 1995.
