UGC-DAE CSR Recruitment 2026: Notification Overview

The UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (UGC-DAE CSR), an autonomous institution established by the UGC, New Delhi, has invited online applications for the recruitment of 4 vacancies for the posts of Assistant-II, Assistant-I, Clerk-Typist, and Lab Attendant. This recruitment is purely on a Direct Recruitment basis based on merit and performance in written tests/interviews, not a competitive entrance exam.

The headquarters of the Consortium is located at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, with centers in Mumbai, Kolkata, Kalpakkam, and a node in Bhubaneswar. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Assistant-II (Level-6):
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with at least second class.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in Purchase & Stores/Accounts/Establishment in University/Govt./Autonomous Body/Reputed Pvt. Firm.
  • Desirable: Diploma/Certificate in Computer; Experience in Accounts & Finance (PFMS, Accounting Software).
• Assistant-I (Level-4):
  • Option A: HSC (12th Pass) or equivalent with 8 years experience.
  • Option B: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years experience in Purchase & Stores/Accounts/Establishment.
  • Desirable: Diploma/Certificate in Computer; Experience in Accounts & Finance (PFMS, Accounting Software).
• Clerk-Typist (Level-2):
  • Education: Matriculation (10th) or equivalent with 50% marks.
  • Skill: Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English.
  • Desirable: Diploma/Certificate in Computer.
• Lab Attendant (Level-1):
  • Education: 8th Class Pass.
  • Experience: 3 years relevant experience.
  • Desirable: Relevant working experience in Univ./Govt./Autonomous Body.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Age Calculation Date: Age is calculated as of the last date of receipt of online application (06/03/2026).
• Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and candidates working in Govt./Semi-Govt./Autonomous Bodies is applicable as per Government of India rules.
• Certificates for age relaxation must be issued within the last one year by the permitted authority.

Selection Process

Since this is a direct recruitment, the selection process involves the following stages:

1. Screening/Shortlisting: Applications will be shortlisted based on higher benchmarks decided by the Institute. Merely fulfilling eligibility does not guarantee a call.
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Trade Test:
   • Assistant Posts: Likely to include a Written Test.
   • Clerk-Typist: Will involve a Typing Test (Trade Test) and likely a Written Test.
   • Lab Attendant: May involve a Trade Test/Skill Test relevant to lab work.
3. Personal Interview: For final selection based on performance in tests.

Location of Tests: Written/Skill/Interview will be conducted at Head Office (Indore) or Centers in Mumbai, Kolkata, Kalpakkam, or Bhubaneswar.

Application Fee

• General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 500/-
• Exempted Categories: Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD communities are NOT required to pay any fee.

Payment Mode: The fee must be paid through SBI Collect (Online). The Transaction ID/UTR number must be entered in the online application form.

How to Apply (Step-by-Step Guide)

1. Visit Official Portal: Go to the UGC-DAE CSR website www.csr.res.in or the specific recruitment portal.
2. Register & Fill Form: Complete the online application form starting from 16/02/2026 (11:00 AM). Ensure all details are accurate as no changes will be allowed later.
3. Upload Documents: Upload self-attested copies of marks sheets, certificates, and proof of experience.
4. Pay Application Fee: Pay Rs. 500/- via SBI Collect (if applicable) and enter the Transaction ID in the form. Women/SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted.
5. Submit Online: Finalize the submission on or before 06/03/2026 by 05:00 PM.
6. Send Hard Copy: Take a printout of the submitted application. Send it along with self-attested copies of documents in an envelope superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ____________” to the following address so that it reaches by 13/03/2026:
