Employees’ State Insurance Corporation which is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, invites application for immediate engagement of Teaching Faculty in the post of Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor in ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka.

1. Position : Professor

2. Education &Experience : AcademicQualifications: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject. Teaching and Research Experience:

i. Associate Professor in the subject for threeyears in a permitted/ recognized medicalcollege/ institution.

ii. Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed , Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. The author should be among the first three or corresponding author.

iii. Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from in situations designated by NMC. iv. Should have completed the Basic course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC.

AcademicQualifications: MD/DNB (Emergency Medicine) OR MD/MS/DNB in General Medicine, Gen. Surgery,Resp. Medicine, Anesthesia, Orthopedics. Teaching and Research Experience:

i. As Associate Professor for three years in Emergency Medicine or Subjects as mentioned above (General Medicine, Gen. Surgery, Resp. Medicine, Anesthesia, Orthopedics) in apermitted/ recognized/ medical college/institution.

ii. Special training for three years in Emergency Medicine in ateaching Institution/Centre of Excellence withdedicated service in Emergency Medicine.

iii. Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed , Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. iv. Should have completed the NMC recognizedbasic course in Medical EducationTechnology.

1. Position : Assistant Professor

2. Education &Experience : AcademicQualifications: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject. TeachingandResearch Experience: One year as Senior Resident in theconcerned subject in a recognized/ permitted medical college after acquiring MD/MSDegree.

a) Determination of equivalence of the qualification of DNB (Broad Specialties) with MD/MS The Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in broad specialty and super specialty qualificationswhen granted in a medical institution with attached hospital or in a hospital with the strength office hundred or more beds, by the National Board of Examinations, shall be equivalent in allrespects to the corresponding broad specialty (MD/MS) and super specialty (DM/MCh) postgraduate qualification, but in all other cases, senior residency in a medical college for anadditional period of one year shall be required for such qualification to be equivalent for the purposes of teaching.

b) AcademicQualifications: MD/DNB (Emergency Medicine) OR MD/MS/DNB in General Medicine, Gen. Surgery,Resp. Medicine, Anesthesia, Orthopedics TeachingandResearch Experience: ii. Special training for three years in Emergency Medicine in ateaching Institution/Centre of Excellence withdedicated service in Emergency Medicine.

c) Determination of equivalence of the qualification of DNB (Broad Specialties) with MD/MS The Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in broad specialty and super specialty qualifications when granted in a medical institution with attached hospital or in a hospital with the strength of five hundred or more beds, by the National Board of Examinations, shall be equivalent in all respects to the corresponding broad specialty (MD/MS) and super specialty (DM/MCh) postgraduate qualification, but in all other cases, senior residency in a medical college for an additional period of one year shall be required for such qualification to be equivalent for the purposes of teaching.
