HPSC Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) for the initial selection of 26 candidates to undergo pre-induction training at MSHIPA for induction into the Himachal Pradesh Finance & Accounts Service (HPF&AS) as Section Officer. The notification is open only to serving employees of H.P. Government departments, boards, corporations, autonomous bodies, universities, and the co-operative bank who hold a Bachelor’s degree and have completed three years of regular service.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. Desirable: knowledge of the customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
Experience:
Minimum 3 (three) years of regular service in a H.P. Government Department, Board, Corporation, Autonomous Body, University, or Co-operative Bank of the State of Himachal Pradesh.
Skills:As per the requirements of the Finance and Accounts Service.
Salary:
Pay Band Level-13: Rs. 46,000 - Rs. 1,46,500 per month (plus allowances).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 45 Years as on 01 January 2026.
Selection Procedure:
Preliminary Entrance Examination (120 MCQs).
Main Entrance Examination (Three papers of 150 marks each).
Pre-induction Training at MSHIPA.

Rs. 600/- (Uniform fee for all candidates, irrespective of category or gender). Fee is charged separately for Preliminary and Main Examinations.

- Fill the Form: Fill in the application form with correct personal, educational, and service details.
- Upload Documents: Upload required documents as per the checklist (certificates, photograph, signature, etc.).
- Pay the Fee: Pay the examination fee of Rs. 600 online through Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or other digital payment modes.
- Review and Submit: Review the declaration and submit the application. No changes are permitted after final submission except for a category change.
- Print: Save and download a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
Note: Applications must be submitted online on or before 05 August 2026, 11:59 PM. Applications without the required fee, photograph, or signature will be rejected.

Key Instructions for Candidates
- Eligibility: This recruitment is open ONLY to serving employees of Himachal Pradesh Government departments, boards, corporations, autonomous bodies, universities, or the co-operative bank. Fresh graduates or candidates outside H.P. Government service are NOT eligible.
- NOC: A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is mandatory before appearing for the Main Examination. Contract/casual/adhoc/daily-rated/work-charged employees are exempt from this requirement.
- Application Form: No changes are allowed after submission, except a category change, which is permitted only as per HPPSC rules.
- Examination Pattern: The selection involves two stages: a Preliminary Examination (120 MCQs) and a Main Examination (three papers). Be prepared for both.
- Service Bond: Selected trainees must execute a service bond of Rs. 5,00,000 to serve the Government for a minimum of 5 years after training.

Himachal Pradesh attained statehood on 25th January, 1971. Prior to this date, the function of Public Service Commission in respect of the civil services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh were being discharged by the Union Public Service Commission under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. It was, therefore, incumbent on the State to have its own Public Service Commission. However, since a State Public Service Commission could be constituted simultaneously with the attainment of Statehood, the Union Public Service Commission, on a request from the Governor of the State of Himachal Pradesh with the approval of the President of India, agreed to serve the needs of Himachal Pradesh till the establishment of a Public Service Commission for the State or for a period of three months from 25th January, 1971 whichever was earlier.
