Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Assistant Director (Digital Forensic)
- Essential: At least 2nd Class M.Sc. in Forensic Science / Digital Forensics / Cyber Forensics / Physics OR Master of Computer Application (MCA) OR Master Degree in Engineering (Computer Science / Electronics / IT / Electronic Communication) from a recognized University.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in Research, Training, and Analytical work.
Scientific Officer (Digital Forensic)
- Essential: At least 2nd Class M.Sc. in Forensic Science / Digital Forensics / Cyber Forensics / Physics OR Master of Computer Application (MCA) OR Master Degree in Engineering (Computer Science / Electronics / IT / Electronic Communication) from a recognized University.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Research, Training, and Analytical work.
- Note: Research work for Ph.D. degree counts towards the 3-year experience requirement.
Desirable Qualifications (Both Posts)
- Ph.D. Degree in relevant subject.
- Knowledge of customs, manners, dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for engagement in peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Stage 1 – Written Examination (Same Day, Two Sessions):
- Paper-I (Objective Screening Test): 1 Hour, 100 Marks. Sections: GK Himachal Pradesh (30), GK National/International (30), Hindi (20), English (20). Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong/unattempted/blank answer (Option 'E' available to avoid negative marking).
- Paper-II (Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test): 3 Hours, 120 Marks. Syllabus as decided by Commission. Minimum Pass Marks: 45% (General), 40% (Reserved).
- Stage 2 – Personality Test: For candidates qualifying the written examination.
Reservation Benefit: Restricted to Bonafide Residents of Himachal Pradesh only.
TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the examination / personality test.
