Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: B.Sc. (Agr.) under four-year degree programme and M.Sc. (Agri) 2nd Class from a recognized University.
- Desirable Qualification: M.Sc (Agri.) 1st Class or above; knowledge of customs, manners & dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
- Age Limit: 18 to 45 years as on 01-01-2026.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection process includes:
- Stage 1: Objective Type Screening Test/Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test
- Paper-I: Computer Based Test (CBT) or Offline Screening Test of 1 hour duration, 100 marks, with negative marking.
- Paper-II: Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) of 3 hours duration, 120 marks.
- Stage 2: Personality Test – 30 marks, held at HPPSC office, Shimla. Minimum pass marks: 40% for General, 30% for Reserved categories.
Note: No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the tests.

- Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth.
- All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agriculture).
- Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead (if applicable).
- Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable).
- Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
