Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Essential: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
- Percentage Criteria:
- UR / OBC-NC: Minimum 60% aggregate marks.
- SC / ST / PwBD: Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- Cut-off Date for Degree: Candidates must have completed their Engineering Graduation on or after 01 April 2023. Candidates who completed their degree before this date are not eligible.
2. Age Limit (As on 02-03-2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
Age Relaxation
Upper age limit is relaxable for the following categories:
- SC/ST: +5 years (Max age 30 years)
- OBC-NC: +3 years (Max age 28 years)
- PwBD: +10 years (Max age 35 years)
Selection Process
Since this is a Direct Recruitment for Apprenticeship, there is no written examination. The selection will be based on the following stages:
- Merit List: Screening will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree (B.E./B.Tech).
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5 (5 candidates for every 1 vacancy) based on the merit list.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear for verification of original documents.
- Final Merit List: Prepared after document verification.
- Medical & Police Verification: Final selection is subject to passing the medical examination and police verification.
Salary / Stipend
Candidates selected as Graduate Apprentice Trainees will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-.
Breakdown: Rs. 20,500 paid by HPCL + Rs. 4,500 paid directly by the Government of India (GOI) under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.
