Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Scientific Assistant (Digital Forensics)
- Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science from a recognized University with two years’ analytical experience from Government Lab/University OR Bachelor’s degree (Medical) with Chemistry as one of the subject from a recognized University with two years analytical experience from Government Lab./University.
- Experience: Two years’ analytical experience from Government Lab/University is required.
- Desirable: Knowledge of customs, manner and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
- Registration: Must be registered on One Time Registration (OTR) portal before filling ORA form.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 45 years (as on 01-01-2026)
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules (up to 5 years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes).
Selection Process
- Screening Test (Objective Type - 200 questions: 140 General Aptitude + 60 General Knowledge)
- Subject Aptitude Test (MCQ for skill test)
- Typing Test (if applicable)
- Evaluation of documents for eligibility
- Final merit based on written test performance, normalized using Z-Score Method if multiple shifts
