Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D

Applications are invited from the citizen of India for filling up the following temporary position in the institute Project at this Institute. The position is purely temporary, initially for a period of 01 Year, and extendable for a maximum period of 5 years but co-terminus with the duration of the project, on contractual basis with consolidated pay. The requisite qualification, experience and others details are given below:

3. Consolidate Pay If thesis submitted: - Rs. 54,000/-+HRA (As per institute norms) If thesis awarded - Rs. 60,000/- +HRA (As per institute norms

4. Eligibility: PhD thesis in the relevant area (quantum algorithms and their applications to cryptography). Candidate who have submitted their thesis may also apply.

5. Desirable Experience: Any publication in an event organized by IACR (International Association for Cryptography Research).

6. Job Description:

a. The candidate is expected to lead a research project on studying security of cryptographic hash functions against quantum adversaries in different settings (with or without QRAM, with or without quantum queries to the underlying primitives, restrictions on the size of the quantum circuit etc.)

b. The work will require development of algorithms breaking various security properties of hash functions (such as preimage resistance, collision resistance etc.).

7. Brief description of Project: Study the security of cryptographic hash functions in the presence of quantum adversaries.
